Guinness Brand Homes in Dublin and London

Across Dublin and London, our partnership with Diageo and their iconic Guinness has focused on a refinement of world-class hospitality. In Dublin, we have evolved the legendary Guinness Storehouse and the experimental Open Gate Brewery, creating spaces where brewing meets refined guest immersion. More recently, this design language migrated to London’s with the opening of two signature restaurants, VIP lounge, brewery bar and central Courtyard Bar.

Interior Design

Between the iconic Storehouse in Dublin, the adjoining Open Gate Brewery and the Old Brewers Yard in Covent Garden all our interior designs honour the grand industrial spaces that they occupy.

Functional Design

The success of any hospitality venue is not measured on design alone, but on the service you receive. Attention to this functional challenge of service sets Guinness apart from the others.

Consumer Experience

Each of the 3 venues have wide ranging briefs that range from ‘360 degrees’ hospitality to curated group beer tasting sessions engaging both casual and experienced drinkers alike.

Open Gate Brewery, Dublin

As an Irish-founded design studio, being entrusted with part of the visual and experiential legacy of Guinness carries a unique weight - the ultimate “home turf” collaboration. The spectrum of our work for Guinness has been very broad, reflecting the brand’s multifaceted identity. First let’s look at the redesign and repositioning of the Open Gate Brewery bar and courtyard set within the industrial confines of a gravity-fed brewery with structural origins in the 1960’s. First opened to the public in 2015 we redesign of the new experience in 2024.

Guinness Storehouse, Dublin

Our work with the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin included the ambitious “Food on Five” project, a complete re-imagining of the fifth-floor culinary experiences. We designed three distinct restaurants, each featuring a unique bar and atmosphere. Recognising the site’s global appeal, we tailored each space to a specific demographic - ranging from casual, fast-paced dining to refined, sit-down experiences.

Guinness at Old Brewers Yard, London

The transformation of this landmark site revitalises a brewing heritage dating back to 1722. At the heart of this multi-layered hospitality destination is the Courtyard Bar, an architectural focal point meticulously designed and featuring a two-storey glass cold-room, a striking piece of functional theatre that puts the brewery’s inner workings on full display. The overlooking culinary experiences are anchored in two distinct signature restaurants. Gilroys, a sophisticated rooftop oyster bar and Porters Table providing a robust grill and bar experience. Tucked deep within the micro-brewery itself is the 232 Bar, a vibrant, red-themed space that serves as an homage to the brand’s precision; its name and bold palette are inspired by the exact 232°C roasting temperature required to achieve the iconic Guinness ruby-red hue. Beyond these public-facing venues, we designed a refined private dining suite and an exclusive VIP lounge for high-tier immersion and gatherings. To unify these diverse environments, we curated and created an extensive collection of wall art and graphic installations.
